Andy's Available Story

Hi, my name is Andy (#2179). My foster mom calls me Andy-Panandy, as she likes to make up names for dogs she loves (I guess that means she thinks I’m pretty cute). I’m a 12.5 year old golden/collie mix, but I sure don’t feel a day over 8 years old! I have really nice manners in the house, only chew on my toys, I do love to chase the resident cat, so it’s probably best I don’t live with one again. I do get along with my foster brother, I don’t like to share toys or food much, but with some training I’ve learned to share. I prefer a nice dog bed with a blanket on it to the furniture, and I don’t counter-surf, but if you leave food or drinks on the coffee table I tend to help myself. I am a little nervous with loud sounds so a quieter house without young children would probably be best for me.

Like a lot of goldens I have some allergies, however they are well controlled with some fish oil and an inexpensive antihistamine. If you’d like a mellow, well adjusted guy that walks nicely on a leash, likes to go in his crate, doesn’t bark much or have accidents in the house, then I’m your guy.
